A Game
The break of dawn was approaching the village and Nakora fast asleep in her bed.

“Nakora-chan? Nakora-chan, it’s time to wake up.” Shizune said.

“Mmmmmmnnngghh!” Nakora grumbled turning away from Shizune.

“TonTon!” Shizune whispered. TonTon the cute little pig quickly walked in. Shizune picked him up and put him next to Nakora. He started sniffing at Nakora’s ears

“Tee-hee-hee! Stoppit! C’mon!” Nakora said covering her ears. Nakora sat up and picked TonTon up and gave him a hug.

“Thank you, TonTon. Thank you, Shizune-sama!” Nakora whispered and got out of bed  she put TonTon on the ground. Nakora opened her drawer and picked out her clothes. Shizune and TonTon left the room. Nakora got dressed ans walked into the kitchen to find Shizune tsunade and even TonTon digging their faces in syrup covered pancakes. Nakora found a huge heap of warm pancakes with whipped cream and strawberries on the pancakes. (Her favorite.) Nakora sat down and devoured her pancakes. Nakora got up and headed for the door when Shizune said, “Wait! Na-chan! A package came for you last night!” Shizune picked up a small box and gave it to Nakora. Nakora opened the box an found a beautiful blue bow with a aquamarine gem in a heart shaped cut with pearls surrounding it in the center of the bow. There was a small note next to it.

Dear Nakora,

I was wondering how you were doing. I am doing well. I’m trying to figure out how I can help my village. I wanted to get you something…actually it was really hard getting this bow. This bow is in hopes you can achieve your dreams, whatever your dreams may be.

Nakora picke the bow up and held it to her chest and mumbled, “Gaara-kun!”

“?” Shizune looked at Nakora in a confused way. Nakora undid her braid and put the bow in her hair and redid the braid. Nakora slipped on her zori and ran out the door.

“Good luck Nakora-chan! “ Shizune shouted after her. Nakora waved. Nakora looked at her map and found herself at the academy. (She can’t read maps! -.-|||)

“AAHH!!!” Nakora shouted. Nakora turned around and found Puru’s house. Nakora knocked on the door. The door slowly creaked open and Puru slowly walked out.

“Puru-chan, you look like a mess!” Nakora said.

“*yawns* Yeah… well, I’m not really a morning person…” Puru said half asleep.

“Oh, okay… Oh! Look! There’s Kai-kun!” Nakora said. Kai slowly turned around and smiled still half asleep.

"Hey...Nakora-san..." Kai said.  

"Hiiiiiii!!!!!" Nakora exclaimed and ran over there.

"You seem...Energized this morning..." Kai said with a tired smile.

"Really? I guess." Nakora said.

"Hey, Nakora-san...what's with the...uh...bow." Kai asked.

"Oh? This?," Nakora blushed, "You know yesterday? When i talked about the guy I liked? He gave it to me..." Nakora said with a smile.  Kai stopped right in his tracks.

"?" Nakora stopped and looked back at him.

"What's wrong, Kai-kun?" Nakora asked. Kai looked down.

"...Nothing..." Kai mumbled.

"ATTENTION!!!!" A loud voice yelled.

"?!" Nakora got scared and fell right on her face because of the surprise. Nakora looked up and saw Anko standing there with an angry expression.

"I said, 5 o' CLOCK!!!! NOT FIVISH!!!"

"I'm sorry Anko-sensei!!! Nakora bowed to Anko. Nakora put her hand in her waist pouch and got out some tupperware.

"Eh? What's that?" Anko asked in confusion.

"I-I made dumplings for you!!!" Nakora said handing them to Anko.

"D-DUMPLINGS?!!?!" Anko exclaimed. Puru and Kai's stomachs growled. Anko opened the tupperware and drooled at the sight of the delectable dumplings. Ankora devoured the dumplings making Kai and Puru's stomachs growl even more.

"I-i'm glad you like them s-sensei..."Nakora said.

"YUMMY!!!!! You have outdone yourself, Nakora-san!" Anko exclaimed finishing the dumplings.

"....." Nakora stood there hesitating.

"I guess... i can let you being late...slip..." Anko said.

"R-really?! T-thank you, sensei!!!" Nakora bowed again.

"Time...for the fun to begin..." Anko smirked.

"Right!" The three students said in unison.

"NOW, MARCH!!!" Anko yelled with her students marching behind her.
they arrived at the training field.

"I've never been, here before..." Nakora said looking around.

"Okay today...this will be a survival excercise...which...if you pass... will become ninja!" Anko said.

"B-but we ARE ninja! We took the final exam!!! We have the headbands to prove it!!!" Puru protested.

"Well...not exactly... You are just graduated academy students...If you pass this...you'll become...Genin..." Anko smirked.

"Genin?  What's that?" Nakora asked cocking her head to the side.

"YOU DON'T KNOW?!?!?! HOW CAN YOU NOT KNOW?!?!??!!! DIDN'T YOU LERAN THE RANKS OF NINJA IN THE ACADEMY!?!?!?!!!?!" Anko shouted. Nakora shook her head.

" I only came here about a week and a half ago..." Nakora pouted.

"B-But HOW?!?!??!!! YOU HAD THE BEST GRADES IN YOUR CLASS?!!!" Anko protested.

"In MY village everyone was the same rank all jounin…since everyone had exceptional abilities…”

“Then why are HERE?!?!!??!!! Why don’t you go back home?!!!?!?!” Anko exclaimed.
Nakora looked down with a sad look on here face like she was about to cry. Nakora smiled sadly.

“………Because…there is no home to go back to….” Nakora replied with tears running down her face.

“…What?!” Puru asked. Anko couldn’t help but be sympathetic.

“Kai-kun…Puru-san…Go practice kunai throwing or whatever….I need to speak with Nakora–san…” Anko said.

“Right…” Puru said and walked away. Kai felt like he was going to cry too.

“Why do I…feel so torn up inside…? My heart started to ache when I saw her cry…I…
I’m sorry…Nakora –chan….” Kai thought he slowly walked away. He looked back at her and mumbled, I’m sorry…” And he ran off.

“Now, Nakora-san…Tell me what happened…”Anko said with a quiet voice and kneeling down to eye level. Nakora hid her face in Anko’s jacket.

“!” Anko looked at Nakora with surprise and started to rub her back Kai hid in the bushes to listen in on the conversation.

“My…M-my…My mother died…right before…!” Nakora exclaimed while her face was hidden in Anko’s jacket.

“R-right before…the hurricane…Everyone died in it…I-I-I surv-vived...and so did…my brother but--!” Nakora gripped Anko’s jacket.

“W-we g-got separated...And…And--!!!” Nakora exclaimed. Anko brushed her hands through Nakora’s hair.

“!!!” Nakora looked up at Anko, tears running down her cheeks. Nakora looked down again.

"Supposedly... since...since we are...of r-royal blood--"

"Wait! ROYAL BLOOD?!!??!!!"Anko yelled.

"...Yes...I was the princess of my village..."

"WHAT?!?!! Nakora-san...is a PRINCESS?!?!!??!B-but she seems so happy all the time..." kai thought still listening to the conversation.

"Since...I was... of royal blood and my brother was too...we were protected from the hurricane..."

"How does being of royal blood protect you from a HURRICANE?!?!!" Anko asked. Nakora took her headband off of her neck and picked the necklace up.

"This...This is the sacred gem of my village...which only protects someone of royal blood...We called it the 'Ocean gem' since it had such a resemblance to it... My village was the wave village after all...It was a small village...but it was so beautiful...Everyone was happy...It was made maybe 30 years or so ago...not that old for a village...but when there was that war...."

"Ah,yes the war...The one where all the people who had kekki genkai..."

"Yes...All I have left is my necklace and my wave village headband...But it was broken when i found it on the beach..." Nakora looked down with her tears streaming down her cheeks. Anko suddenly gave Nakora a hug.

"!  A-Anko s-sensei--?" Nakora looked at Anko.

"I-I'm so sorry...," Anko let go of Nakora. "Do you...think you can... still do the exam...?" Anko said. Nakora wiped her tears and nodded with a smile. A brustle went through the bushes behind them. Nakora looked back, and Kai was gone.

"? It must of been a squirrel or something..." Nakora said turning back to Anko. Anko whistled loudly.

"GET OVER HERE YOU MAGGOTS!!!" Anko yelled scaring Nakora. Kai and Puru lined up next to Nakora. Kai's wiped his eyes on the sleeve of his jacket. Kai glanced at Nakora. Nakora looked at Kai and smiled.

"H-How can she...smile like that?!!??  She...She lost everything and everyone close to her...Yet...She can still smile...?" Kai's thoughts rushed through his mind.

"Okay! In this exam...We are going to play a little game...of tag..." Anko smirked.

"Tag?!!?! ARE YOU KIDDING?!!?!"Puru exclaimed.

"Completely.... You have to try and catch me and if you don't by ten..."

Wait! Is that why you didn't want us to eat breakfast?!! So we couldn't get you?!!?!" Kai exclaimed. Anko smirked.

"Yay! I knew it!" Nakora thought happily. Anko set an alarm on the log.

"This alarm will ring at ten...Sharp! And if you don't catch me by then...YOU'LL BE SENT BACK TO THE ACADEMY!!!!!!!!" Anko yelled.

"WH-WHAT!?!?!!?" Puru exclaimed.

"Yes... When I say 'Go' I will run...Also...All three of you must catch me... Not one, not two...but ALL THREE... Now....GO!" Anko excalimed and she ran so fast she was practically invisible.

"How in the hell are we supposed to catch up with THAT!??!!?!" Puru exclaimed. Puru looked at Nakora.

"I guess...you were right about the whole 'breakfast' thing..." Puru looked down.

"Nakora-san?" Kai said.

"Hm?  What is it, Kai-kun?" Nakora said with a smile.  Kai looked down with his hair in his face. He gulped as he started to blush.

"I...I...I'M SORRY!!!" Kai exclaimed and ran off.

"K-Kai-kun?" Nakora asked confusedly.

"C'mon Na-chan! We need to catch Anko-sensei!" Puru said

"R-Right!" Nakora said.
